REPENTANCE

Repentance is the only path that the Lord our God has given to every human being, regardless of their past or the weight of their sins, to be reconciled with Him.

It is a form of deep commitment — a sincere decision to return to God and become His true servant.

To repent is to accept being fully devoted to God's purpose from now on.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONFESSION AND REPENTANCE

Confession means listing all your wrongdoings before God and asking for forgiveness.

But it is impossible for any human to remember all the sins they’ve committed since birth.

Repentance goes further: it means acknowledging your sinful state before God, and most importantly, making Him a promise to change your life.

HOW TO REPENT

  • Acknowledge your faults before God.
  • Ask for forgiveness with sincerity.
  • Make a clear promise not to go back to your old ways.

To repent is to say:

"Lord, I was living in sin, I admit it. Today I choose to walk with You, and I promise to make every effort not to go back."

Without a promise, repentance has no real meaning.

But from that sincere moment, God forgives you, and everything that sin had opened in your life is closed.

Note: The prayers of reconciliation with God that I provide at the Divin Centre Spirituel always include this essential aspect: repentance.

HOW TO AVOID FALLING BACK INTO SIN

Many people confess but still fail to truly reconcile with God.

Why? Because there is no change in their way of life.

God invites you to put His two laws into practice every day:

  1. Take Him as your only source of life.
  2. Do good by rejecting all hatred, jealousy, and resentment.

Before every action, always ask yourself: "Is this aligned with the Word of God?"

KNOWING WHAT GOD EXPECTS FROM YOU

The truth is that God created us all in His image and engraved His laws within each of us. That means we all carry His truth innately.

However, the action of that truth can be clouded by life experiences or the way we were raised.

In general, even without formal teaching, you are capable of knowing what is right or wrong.

My role is to help you remove what distorts the truth that God has placed within you.

May the Lord our God, through His Spirit, help each of you understand this message and put it into practice in your life.
