WHY DO WE NEED GOD TO ACCOMPANY AND MAXIMISE THE HEALING OF ILLNESSES?
Modern medicine now knows of between 30,000 and 40,000 diseases, according to estimates by the World Health Organisation.
But only 20-30% of these diseases can be fully cured with current treatments. This means that over 70% of diseases (around 32,000) still have no definitive cure.
Conclusion
For all these incurable diseases, only God can intervene where science has reached its limits.
And even for diseases that can be treated medically, we need God:
To guide doctors in their decisions,
To reinforce the effectiveness of treatments,
And to protect against errors, relapses or complications.
